Lisa Love's Podcast

Todays show was dedicated to Teena Marie and My best friend Lisa Denise Jackson. Teena Marie passed away 12-26-2010 and Lisa Jackson passed away June 25, 1997. I wanted to show love to Teena Marie and as always show love for my friend on her birthday. Lisa loved Teena Marie's music. Lisa's son who now lives in Boca Raton Florida told the world how much his mother listened to Teena Marie's music. He was a little guy, then but remembered.

Lisa's sister Jayneen called the show from Liberty NY, which was followed by Lisa's Son and Daughter's calls. It was my first show back since December 31st of 2009.

Teena Marie and Gerald Levert sing this song so sweet and so beautiful. One of my favorite songs.

I dedicate this mix to my Guardian Angel Phoenix Kelley. It's like she was sent from heaven just to look over me. I can't explain. I really believe that God sent her to just look over me. Just as Tracey Hughes and Gina Sheard made sure I made it safely to adulthood with no bruises. Tracey and Gina kept me safe and educated me about life and sent me to New York and Phoenix looked over me to make sure I heeded all their lessons. Wow, this is really deep as I think about it.

I needed to connect with the Jamaican part of me LOL! Just a lil something for all mi Rasta heads.

The music is my vitamin B for Beats. . . Just something to get me started on my way.

just in love with my music. it is a peaceful place for me.

This is just a short mix of slow jams for when you want a quickie.

The first 30 minutes is a Remedy mix which I play at the beginning of the show to get you through a rough day while you are taking your lunch break at home, school or work. I dig in the crates, so to speak, and just give you real feel good music.

Dyshon Warren: He is byfar my favorite recording artist. I support him to the fullest. I have been playing his music since 2007 and continue to play his music no matter what venue I am in. I will continue to support him in any way that I can. I want you to listen to his music. It is beautiful. He was my spotlight artist of the week.

The Lovely Soul Sensation Ms. Carol Riddick blessed The Remedy Show from 7p-9p. She had dinner with the Remedy Crew and talked about her upcoming performances and how she started her singing career. We laughed and just talked. It was so much fun!

December 30, 2009 was my friend's birthday. Also my friend passed away 6/25/1997. She is still and always will be missed a whole lot. Today, on New Years Eve, 12/31/2009, The whole show was dedicated to her and the memory of her. It was a great show and there were callers who called to wish her a happy RIP birthday and one of her children, Jason, called into the show. Also Recording Artist, Tracey DeLara came to celebrate the memory of Lisa Jackson with me. Then we were blessed with Famous Promoter, Producer, and Record Label Exec Chris Lyons of The Lyon's Den. We had lots of fun and celebrated the memory of Lisa Jackson.

Happy Birthday Lisa Denise Jackson! We love you and miss you now and always. . . xoxoxo
